Westside Waldorf School visiting the North Fork Hostel
The independent, not-for-profit Westside Waldorf School serves Pre-K through the elementary grades. Established in 1989, it is one of more than 800 Waldorf schools worldwide.
A Waldorf education has been called “the world’s best kept education secret”. Its curriculum seeks to nourish the emotions and imaginations of children as well as their intellect.
a look back in time
These are photos from George McFarland; the hostel building was still on big prairie inside the park, it only shows the corner of the building but you can easily recognize it if you are familiar with the place. I’m not sure on the dates of the photographs but would put them into the fifties. In the aerial photo the longer part o fthe T-shaped building is what is now the hostel. Guess we are all glad that airstrip is gone now!

Trail Creek Road to Whitefish Divide
It won’t take much longer and the road will be passable for cars also; we almost made it all the way to the divide on our ride yesterday, most avalanche slides are easy to ride around, a few need walking your bike…
